Abstract:

Background: According to reported research, Spiritual intelligence plays an active role in individuals' mental Health, and the effectiveness of students' tolerance threshold and resilience on mental Health has also been positively reported. In the predominant culture of Iranian universities, there are no indigenous patterns and logic to explain the effective factors on mental Health, thus the need for creating a suitable indigenous model in this area is essential. Aims: The aim of the present study was to propose a model for elucidating the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between Spiritual intelligence and mental Health among students of Tehran's Azad University. Methods: This study was descriptive and of correlational and structural equations type. The statistical population of the study included all students studying at Islamic Azad Universities in Tehran during the academic year 2022-2023. A multi-stage cluster random sampling method was used to select the sample, and a total of 685 individuals responded to the mental Health (Goldberg, 1972), Spiritual intelligence (King, 2008), and resilience (Connor & Davidson, 2003) questionnaires. Correlation analyses were conducted using SPSS software, and structural equation modeling analyses were performed using AMOS software. Results: Statistical analysis of the data showed that Spiritual intelligence has a direct, positive, and significant impact on mental Health (p< 0.05). Additionally, Spiritual intelligence indirectly predicts students' mental Health through the mediating role of resilience (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Given that Spiritual intelligence is a trainable attribute, it is recommended that executives and stakeholders plan to enhance this attribute among students, thereby taking steps towards improving individuals' mental Health. Therefore, it is necessary to create conditions for students to engage in discussions on life theories, death, and existence, pay more attention to non-material aspects (Spirituality), and find meaning and purpose for their daily experiences.

Methods: The descriptive research method was structural equations type. The research population included all ninth-grade male and female students of the first secondary school in Birjand city in the academic year of 2022-2023, 200 eligible samples were selected by stratified sampling method and they responded to the Spiritual Health questionnaire of Palutzin and Ellison (1982), psychological toughness of Kiamrai et al., (2017) and academic stress of Lacau (2009). SPSS version 22 and Amos software were used for data analysis and research model. Results: The results showed the direct effect of Spiritual Health and psychological hardiness on negative academic stress and also indicated the indirect effect of Spiritual Health on academic stress through the mediating variable of psychological hardiness (P<0.01). Conclusion: By providing the content and suitable educational environment and adopting effective teaching strategies, by promoting the students' Spiritual Health and psychological toughness, the policymakers and implementers of the educational programs provided the ground for reducing the students' academic stress during their studies.

Results: The most important findings of the present article include the following: a) the rational soul is the basis of movement and transformation and all-round transformation of the essential truth of human existence (ontological and anthropological foundations), and mental and heart Health (Healthy reason and heart), with the ability to know and be the generator of inspiration knowledge (epistemological foundations). It is the infrastructure, equability of temperament, the ruling spirit and the dominate discourse on Spiritual Health, which is objectified by the real closeness to God and the manifestation of the Divine Names and Divine Attributes (teleological foundations). b) Expressing, explaining and proving that Spiritual Health is the foundation for psychic and social Health and then a preparation for emotional, cognitive Health and Health in aspects and other differences can be its implied result. Conclusion: Spiritual Health, is the infrastructure of Health in other areas of human existence (physical, psychological, and social), and on the other hand, it is in the relationship and continuous interaction with these areas, because Spiritual wayfaring (sulū, k) and Health have an all-round connection and interaction and a dialectical relationship. Spiritual Health is the cause of Introversive sulū, k and the esoteric course and Spiritual wayfaring is also the complete cause of Spiritual Health, which will have various foundations.

Abstract:

2Background and purpose: Spiritual Health is defined as an inner and satisfying feeling of being constructive with oneself and others and a feeling of superiority in the specific cultural framework of each society, which means life and death. On the other hand, self-efficacy is one of the results of self-confidence and self-mastery, which always has valuable results in the behavior and performance of people in different fields, especially in the field of treatment and medicine. Based on the evidence, Spiritual Health, and self-efficacy have a close relationship with cooperation, so the belief in self-efficacy and Spirituality can cause it to be in the level of utilization and quality of self-efficacy. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between Spiritual Health and self-efficacy of medical interns at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences. Materials and methods: The method of this research is descriptive of the correlation type and the statistical population of the research includes all medical interns (320 people) studying at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in 1402. 176 internship students participated in this study. After obtaining permission, all samples were informed about the purpose of the research. To collect information, Palutzian's (1982) Spiritual Health questionnaire, which includes 10 religious Health questions and 10 existential Health questions, and Sherer's (1982) self-efficacy questionnaire, which has 17 items, were used. This scale measures three aspects of behavior, which include: the desire to initiate the behavior, the desire to try harder to complete the task, and resistance to facing obstacles. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire have been proven to be 79% in Barati Bakhtiari's research and 73% in Malek Shahi et al.'s research. The information obtained by Pearson's correlation coefficient method and stepwise regression of the measured item and independent t-test to compare Spiritual Health and self-efficacy in sex. Male and female were used. Results: According to demographic data, among the 176 people who entered our study, 103 (58.5%) were male and 73 (41.5%) were female. In this research, 12 people (6.8 percent) had high Spiritual Health and only 6 people (3.4 percent) had low Spiritual Health. In general, the students' Spiritual scores vary between 30 and 114, and the average was 78.71±34.16. 146 people (84.4%) had high self-efficacy 25 people (14.5%) had medium self-efficacy and finally, only 2 people (1.2%) had low self-efficacy. The self-efficacy score of the participants in the present study is between 0 and 85 with an average of 60.11±12.38. There is a significant relationship between the religious part and the existential part of Spiritual Health with self-efficacy (P=0.001 and P<0.000, respectively). In addition, the results of the independent t-test showed that the Spiritual Health of female interns is higher than that of men. However, in the self-efficacy component, female interns scored lower than male interns. Conclusion: Considering the meaningful correlation between Spiritual Health and self-efficacy, it is appropriate to design Spiritual education through the elements of Spiritual curriculum in educational curricula, which will lead to the development of all-round learning. In medical education, to improve the level of self-efficacy of interns, it is possible to use the strengthening of the belief base, and it is also suggested to hold training courses to improve Spiritual well-being and self-efficacy beliefs along with providing appropriate educational content.
